disc drive error code 22

Hello and Thank you for reading this. I am having problems enabling my TDK
CDRW161040X. I believe it came with the computer when new. When I became
owner of the computer I installed a LITE-DVDRW LDW_4115. Both worked fine.
Last month I had to do a clean reinstall of my entire system starting with
the original software from dell and windows XP. Now my DVDRW works fine but
the CDR is not. When I use device manager device status box says, " This
device disabled (code 22) Click Enable device to enable this device." The
Device usage box says, " Use this device (enable)". When I use trouble
shooting wizard it says, " The folowing device is disabled TDK CDRW161040X."
I click next to enable and get a message " Windows was not able to enable
this device". Both use to work just fine before the reinstall. When I go to
help and type in code 22 nothing comes up or my computer search or my search
at the Microsoft site. Any help would be appreciated. PEACE & HAPPINESS, Bob.

Remove the device in device manager, next power down the PC, then remove the
cable from the CD, the power up and boot to Windows.
Next power down again and reconnect the cable and the power up once more,
Windows should detect a new device and add it.
