Default 6 in 1 internal multi card reader not detected

Dear all.,

my computer does not seem to detect my internal 6 in 1 multi card
reader anymore. I do not know the brand (it is not displayed on the
computer). My computer is a fujitsu siemens scaleo.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks and best regards,

Peter

Probably what you've done is use the "safely remove hardware" button on your
media slots. That's not required for camera memory sticks put into readers
that are contained within the pc. Think of the media slots as floppy or
CD/DVD drives - you can remove the media when the lights go out. And things
attached by a cable to your computer (a USB flash drive for example), as the
items that have to be "safely removed".

The media slots should be re-detected upon a reboot. If not, you can try to
"detect new hardware".
