Starting Windows Messenger in Offline mode

Default Starting Windows Messenger in Offline mode

I would like to know if and how I can start Messenger in Offline mode. Thanks
already for any and all assistance.

You have to have the latest version of messenger downloaded. Once you have
that part complete, open up the new Messenger, and right ontop of where it
says sign in - there is a drop down arrow that currently reads online - drop
down the arrow and make your choice - Appear Offline is probably what you
what - then, sign in and you will be online buy showing as offline.

Windows Messenger doesn't have this capability, you'll need to use MSN Messenger 7.x+ above
for this:
