I've been told you have to agree to these conditions or otherwise you
can't install W10. Now you're saying you can disagree and still install
the thing?

You were told wrong.

And even if you do choose "express install," you can always go back
and change any of those settings.

I don't disagree, and in fact that's what I did. My reply was merely
to point out that your message sounded like you were saying that if
you chose "express install" you were stuck with those settings and
couldn't change them. That's not correct.

I could swear that this thread started with a few troubling things from the
user agreement that you must agree to before installing Win 10, and now it
has morphed into settings that you can disable.

I suspect that disabling certain settings does not remove any sections from
the user agreement.

Thank you. I'm in no hurry to play, simply figuring out my plan of
attack. Then I can tinker and learn something about Win10. Not that it
is necessary, but of a learning experience. Getting my head around the
install methods post Win7.

The Express option, you don't bother with those sliders
that control privacy. Express uses the default slider
settings that gives Microsoft as much info as possible.
You could correct all of those later if you want.

If you click the "Customize" button, then you review the sliders
one by one. And turn all of them off. And don't forget that
one of the screens has a scroll bar, and hides a setting below
the bottom edge of the screen :-) Tricky.

A group to which I've never posted. You wouldn't, by chance, be a moron,
would you?

Why not head on back to youtube, your favorite playground? You're not adding
anything of value here.

By the way, idiot, your silly crossposts have been removed. Again.

In a previous post, you mentioned being blind, which is unfortunate, but
that doesn't give you a license to be stupid.

Ah got it, I vaguely remember that screen, I powered past it hitting
'customise' as I usually do with an install to avoid cuckoo
installers.
