This are the very basic questions everybody can solve for themselves, even the most stupid people like SteveGG, Stan Brown or Micky can do this. -- With over 500 million devices now running Windows 10, customer satisfaction is higher than any previous version of windows. |

Yep, I just updated mine and is now 16.04 Rene I deliberately avoided using the version number because of the confusion it causes. 16.04 is more confusing because it could also be called 16.10 because the year was 2016 and month was 10. The number 04 makes no sense at all so avoid using the version number old man. Microsoft has a better way of using the version numbers for its Windows 10 releases. An old man like you should be able to use common sense but it seems you are too lazy to use your brain power, if any still left at such an old age. -- With over 500 million devices now running Windows 10, customer satisfaction is higher than any previous version of windows. |

(count starts at 00, this year's release is at 17.00, and it's a beta) I think... At the present time and since 2015 Jun, the v. scheme is yy.rr as Shadow described. Prior to that, versions 2-9, that scheme was not consistently followed. Instead, there were a lot of v.2.xx 1999-2003, 3 for 2003, 4.xx 2004-2009, 9.xx 2009-15, then the current yy.rr again. I've been using 7-Zip betas for a long time, never any problem. FYI, version 15.x and above have slightly lower compression ratio (produce bigger archive file size) than previous version 9.x, when both are using LZMA1 with the same settings. |
