Default Strange Windows Messenger XP Firewall Ports?

I've noticed recently XP Firewall enables msmsgs 16075
udp and 7646 tcp ports? Every time I delete them from the
list they come back. Right now I left them in but
unchecked them to disable. What are they for and should
they be enabled or not? At first I thought they were from
MSN Messenger 5.0 do I uninstalled that. I'm just using
Messenger 4.7 for Windows XP Home Edition right now.
Before the last few upgrades to Messenger, I never had
those ports showing at all in my XP Firewall list.
Concerned...

Default Strange Windows Messenger XP Firewall Ports?

Greetings Steve,

This is actually the Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) capability in Windows Messenger and the
Internet Connection Firewall. Two ports will always be added when you start Messenger. When
you close Messenger, shut down your PC, etc. this ports will be removed. This is by design
for voice/video capabilities within Messenger.
