Default Greyed out connection wizard

I tried to post this twice but cant seem to relocate it
so here we go again. My problem is that upon reloading XP
Pro my DSL connection cannot be made. It is partialy
greyed out. Need help something terrible. Ihave been
paying for DSL withoput being able to connect.

The other problem noticed was the sound doesnt seem to
work. It gives a buzzing noise.

I would greatly appreciate any help. Please feel free to
email me.

Thanks,
Cory

Is the connection enabled? Can you double click on it or right click and
get to properties. Did you try setting up another connection? Can you
repair the connection?. Technical Support from your ISP? Don't have any
answers obviously, just things to try. Hope that helps.
