Default How do you tell if a contact is "appearing offline" when using windows live messenger version 8?

Hello,

Any idea how to tell if one on my contacts is "appearing offline" when they
are really online using windows live messenger v 8?

Obviously those people don't want others to know they are monitoring
their contact's Instant Messenger status. If they did they would have
set their status to "Busy". Stop trying to defeat the software's
intended functions!

Default How do you tell if a contact is "appearing offline" when using windows live messenger version 8?

There is no way of telling. That is the whole purpose of 'blocking' contacts
so you can't see them. While it is nice to talk to people on messenger they
are entitled to some privacy and one of the easiest ways of doing that is
temporarility blocking those people you don't want to disturb you. Yes you
can set your status as away etc, but people still send me messages even when
i set my status to away.

Thier actually is a program that will do it. It also runs all messengers in
the one program. I forget the name of it. Do a search.
