msmsgs problem in xp messenger

They are both the same windows "net" messenger is liked to outlook. both can
not run together. Try this site there is a remove program on this site

Default msmsgs problem in xp messenger

Greetings Kim,

No one has "hacked" your machine -- you've probably installed DirectX 9.0, which among other
problems, has an issue with Messenger and the Internet Connection firewall which creates
large numbers of the msmsgs entries, and makes Messenger "laggy".

To fix, remove all the 'msmsgs' entries in that box by clicking each one and then clicking
Delete. Then, install DirectX 9.0a to fix the problem:
