MS. A real POS company...as bad as Apple.
My pal purchased MS Office 2017. An over bloated, over priced, POS.
It won't save docs. A computer guy friend of his couldn't fix it. He called MS. After half hour of ****ing around....THEY COULDN'T FIX IT. He asked for his money back...ng. Wadda POS company...and getting worse by the day.

It does save docs (but not where you don't have permissions or in protected folders). Your "computer friend" is as stupid as you. Never had a problem getting a refund from MS but it takes awhile; however, user ignorance is not an excuse for a refund.

Thanks, the above reply validates the can't 'read or type' comment. No matter how spun, Office saves files docs in .doc and also(as of Office 2007) in .docx format.
