Event ID 1058 and 1030 in Windows XP
Hi,
We have a windows 2000 domain with windows xp professional and windows 2000 professional clients. On the xp clients i get the following errors recorded in the event log:- Event 1058 Windows cannot access the file gpt.ini for GPO Event 1030 Windows cannot query for the list of group policy objects.A message that describes the reason for this was previously logged by the policy engine. Not sure what is causing these errors. Group policy is definately not updating. All machines have access to sysvol and the dfs client is running on the machines. I have followed the registry changes in KB 314494 and this has not help. Any advice would be appreciated. Kind Regards paul. |
