Unable to remove passport information the usual way
Hi,
I've seen numerous postings about removing passport information. The standard: Go to user accounts, manage passwords etc. I do see the accounts which i want to remove, but nothing happens when i click remove. It must be an XP problem i guess or isn't it? Any suggestions? Michel |

Hi,
Have you made sure that any programs that's using any Passport.net accounts are closed? Such as MSN Messenger, Windows Messenger, Outlook Express, Outlook, Internet Explorer and so on before removing the account information? -- Gary Tsang Microsoft MVP - Windows XP Shell/User http://www.microsoft.com/mvp "Michel" wrote in message om... Unable to remove passport information the usual way
Greetings Michel,
Judging by your e-mail address, you're probably using the Dutch version of Windows XP? If you are, what you're seeing is a bug within the Dutch version and as such, the 'Delete' button will do nothing and you will not be able to remove these. The only thing you can do is completely remove all the Passports and prevent any from being saved in the future by downloading and running this .reg file: http://messenger.jonathankay.com/dow...lenetcreds.reg Then reboot for the changes to take effect. ____________________________________________ Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com "Michel" wrote in message om...
