Default Bluetooth & USB drivers

Let me start by saying I do not understand the relationship between
USB and Bluetooth.

I have both USB 2 and USB 3 connections on my computer.

I also have a Bluetooth speaker that only will work with Bluetooth 1
or 2.

When the system was updated to make the USB 3 ports work the Bluetooth
speaker driver was updated to USB 3 which will not work with the
speaker.

So how do I download a USB 2 driver to my computer so I can manually
assign the speaker to it and not the USB 3 driver that is handling
everything else.

Have I confused everyone as much I am confused?

Thanks for any clarification and help.

Is the Bluetooth a dongle, located on the outside
of the computer, and connected to a USB port ?

If so, try moving the USB based Bluetooth dongle, from
a *blue* USB3 port to a *black* USB2 port. That's the
fastest test that does not require a dissertation from me.

If you're still having trouble, post details. If a laptop,
give make and model. If a desktop, identify make and model,
or if home-built, motherboard make model. If the USB port is
on a plugin card, need details of that card. Need Bluetooth
make and model. Only then, can someone trace down the
genesis of the problem.

I moved the dongle from a USB 2 to another USB 2 and the problem
disappeared.

Thanks.
