Hi

There are News Groups specific to SP2 - you might like to try those:

| I'm attempting to change the scope in Windows Firewall Exceptions to
"Custom List" in order to specify one IP address that I want to let through.
For example, I want to only allow the computer with IP address:
192.168.1.150. However, when I save it and come back to it, the single IP
address changes to:
|
| LocalSubNet, 192.168.1.150/255.255.255.255
|
| Does that mean all computers (192.168.1.*) have access to my computer? If
so, how can I just give access to the 192.168.1.150 computer?
|
| Thanks!

Don't worry, only 192.168.1.150 will have the access you want. The firewall
is just rewriting your entry to show that just one computer has access. A
mask of 255.255.255.255 means only the IP address to the left of the "/" is
included in the list. I agree, the nomenclature can be confusing.

(Now if you wanted to allow a whole subnet, the entry would appear as, for
example, 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0.)
