Provided you have the Windows CD with the latest SP
Start, Run, SFC /scannow But why do you say "seems like"? Either they are or they aren't! S1L1Y1 wrote: It seems like I have some corrupt window xp files. How do I repair them? Sol |

What is the nature of the corruption, if you know? If you get an error message telling you about the problem, please provide it here, verbatim. Since there is a possibility that whatever corruption you have, it was caused by malware infection, please also tell us what anti-virus and anti-spyware programs you run, and whether you keep them up-to-date. -- Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP (Windows Desktop Experience) since 2003 Please Reply to the Newsgroup |

you can determine if you have
corrupted system files by booting into safe mode. if windows performance is better in safe mode than in normal mode, then it is unlikely you have missing or corrupted system files. instead there is something installed that is corrupting your system, which is not the same as saying that the system has corrupted system files. -- db·´¯`·...¸)))º DatabaseBen, Retired Professional - Systems Analyst - Database Developer - Accountancy - Veteran of the Armed Forces - @Hotmail.com - nntp Postologist ~ "share the nirvana" - dbZen ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "S1L1Y1" wrote in message ... Depending on how you PC is set up, you may need to have your Windows install disc handy. -- Roy Smith Windows XP Pro SP3 |
