Default losing internet connectivity - error - tfswctrl.exe, CiceroUIWFrame, TLWin

Folks,

I have a new IBM notebook loaded with Windows XP Pro.
Explorer version is 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.021108-1929. I
have a cable internet connection and every few hours, I
lose connectivity. When I close Explorer, I get small
windows showing the following programs still operating,
giving the option to 'end now' and close down the
program. I don't know if these are red herrings are
directly related to the problem.
1. tfswctrl.exe,
2. CiceroUIWFrame, and sometimes
3. TLWin

The only way to fix the problem to gain internet
connectivity is to reboot the notebook. It's a hassle,
any ideas as to the cause of the problem and how I might
fix it?

Regards, Dave.
