i have suddenly lost my 'my computer' icon
also i tried to put it on using the shortcut method but it doesnt work the icon simply dissappears my 'my documents' folder got renamed to 'R'
my virus's are up to date
n i did a virus scan recently 2 days back
plz help

Right-click on your Desktop and select:
Properties > Desktop > Customize Desktop > Restore Default
