I recently upgraded my Gateway computer with "on-board" sound, and Boston
BA735 USB speakers, to Windows XP Professional. Needless to say, my PC has not made a sound since the upgrade. I have tried all the normal tweaks and checks to try and get the speakers functioning again but nothing seems to work. The patch that I did locate on the web applied to Windows ME and 2000 but did not work on XP. Has anybody encountered a similar problem and, if so, how was it overcome? As expected, my emails to Gateway (whom both Boston and Microsoft indicate are responsible for the fix) have not been responded to. |

Go to their web site and check the download area. You should have gotten a disk with the drivers on it. |

Since your computer predates XP, you need to go to the Gateway support site for a driver, if one is available. Alternatively, a Win2k driver *might* work. Try one of the many driver archives. http://www.driverguide.com/ Q |
