set registry permissions
Once you right click a key, and select Permissions, you'll see the list of
users/groups that have permissions assigned. To add a new user or group, click the Add button and type in the Username or the Group name. If you get an error that it couldn't be found, click the Object Types button and make sure the appropriate entry is checked off. Once you've found or added the user or group, you can highlight it and see the permissions they have. Full Control, Read Only, Special Permissions. If you need more options, click the Advanced button. -- Doug Knox, MS-MVP Windows XP/ Windows Smart Display Win 95/98/Me/XP Tweaks and Fixes http://www.dougknox.com -------------------------------- Associate Expert ExpertZone - http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone -------------------------------- Please reply only to the newsgroup so all may benefit.
