The Firefox Add-On Extensions Problem
Firefox has dropped support for the older XUL add-on extensions in favor of
the new WebExtensions format, and has removed database access to the older extensions, which is problematic for some of us, since so many of those were useful and are NOT ported over to the new format required in the later versions of Firefox. My question is, where can you find and get the legacy XUL extensions now? Apparently one individual took on the task to create a catalog site add on extension for some of these, but it didn't work for me. But maybe that's an issue at my end, since I'm now using Firefox Light for most stuff and haven't tried it on the full blown version yet. Note: it requires adding an extension that allegedly gives you access to a catalog of the older Firefox extensions. I'm assuming this in itself is an XUL extension, so you may not be able to use it on the newer Firefox builds - not sure. Has anybody had any success in finding a nice archive of all the old XUL format add on extensions for Firefox? (Again, this probably will only be useful to those of you not using the latest versions of Firefox). But it might be useful for Thunderbird, and some others. Here are a couple of reference links for anyone interested. https://www.trishtech.com/2018/10/us...d-ons-archive/ https://github.com/JustOff/ca-archive/releases |

Oh well, it may be of interest to those using the older builds, or SeaMonkey or Pale Moon or some other browsers that use the legacy XUL Firefox add ons. |

There's also PM's repository, just updated, of XUL extensions: https://addons.palemoon.org/extensions/ -- Peter. The gods will stay away whilst religions hold sway |

It's gone from the mozilla page. It's not on their server. They don't seem to host those. But the home website has a link: https://noscript.net/getit If I were you I'd look for other extensions you might want and then back up copies. Even if you find an archive it's not likely to last. |

And perhaps that repository might also work on Firefox too, for that matter (or at least the older versions of Firefox) But I'm using the New Moon fork of Pale Moon (for XP). |

I've got them backed up. I used the FEBE extension to simply do this. Go check out the links I provided and you might find NoScript there. |
