Default SP2, XP Pro, Admin logoff hangs

FastUserSwitching is on. I can go back and forth between a PowerUser and
Admin account with no problem. The PowerUser account runs KasperskyAntiVirus
w/ Admin privileges. If that account is live, and I try to logoff from the
Admin account, WinXP hangs.

Sometimes the hang is during "Saving user settings". If I kill all Apps
before trying to logoff, the hang is after that (Desktop Background
continues to display).

There are two events logged roughly at the time of one hang:
Event 7000 on SNMP Trap Service
Event 1036 on TermService
I disabled the former, since SP2 may have not properly set it up.
The latter has status code 0xC00000037

My only recourse has been a hard Reset or cycle power.

Click on start--run--msconfig
On general screen put the check mark on selective startup
and uncheck all the check below to it.
Than see problem remain same or not.
If not
Than check system.ini and win.ini
And see problem persist or not
Than check load startup items
And see problem persist or not
Than check services.
And see after checking which option problem come back.

If problem comes back after checking services.

Click on services tab and check the hide microosft services.
and uncheck all the services you get in abov white box.

If problem comes back after checking startup items.

Thanks for reminding me that sometimes the tedious way to trace a problem may
be the only way...

The problem was not with KAV (KasperskyAntiVirus) as I had suspected. It was
due to Webroot SpySweeper 3.0.0 build 129 (the most recent available).
That version of SpySweeper had worked OK with WinXP Pro prior to SP2...
I removed it's entry from the registry, {HKCU}\...\Run
