Hello Carey ... Thanks for the quick response ... What will having a
check mark do on " Make this folder private " ? Because I already have
it there and I don't see any difference whether its on or off .

TIA

Right click the folder..properties and put a check in hidden. Make sure that
'do not show hidden files and folders' is checked in folder options,

Boot into safe mode and you'll see a proper security tab.

Yes it is possible. Go to the folder you want to hide and then right
click on it and check the "hidden" box. This only works as long as you
have enabled the feature in XP to hide folders marked hidden. You can
set it so that even hidden and system files and folders are shown. To
check this in explorer go to tools-folder options-view. You should
have a heading in the check box lists that says "hidden files and
folders" with the two radio buttons for show and hide. Select hide and
then you can mark folders and files as hidden and they disappear. I
never use it though because I forget where I put stuff and I'm lost
until I remeber what I did.

If you are trying to hide your stuff from someone though, keep in mind
if you are smart enough to hide it, they might be smart enough to
unhide it, also you might just want to lock you pc when you leave it.

hope it helps......
