Hi Ellery:
There is more to restoring your computer than reinstalling Windows. In your case, you need to reinstall the driver for your video card. May I make the following additional suggestion: The manufacturer of your computer may have on its web site complete instructions for reinstalling your system, which will include all necessary drivers and other software. I would suggest checking it out. Earl Grey Ellery wrote: After a reformat I found that these options are greyed out in the shut down area and I cannot find the enable options in the usual place? Thanks, Earl Grey
I have a Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo P and their site is like microsofts, an abomination. You ask for a specific and get multiple answers and no guide. Greetings Ellery:
I was able to locate what I believe is the user manual for your computer on Fujitsu's web site. On page 12 you will find instructions for restoring your installed software. Start with the web page for Scaleo P: http://www.fujitsu-siemens.co.uk/hom.../scaleo_p.html and click on Support near the top of the frame. On the Getting Support web page that opens, look at the left side of the page and click on Manuals. The Getting Support web page also has links for additional support, including something I've never seen befo 'Online update of your system with the most current drivers'.
